Castleford and Huddersfield have extended a swap deal involving second-rower Joe Wardle and utility back Jordan Rankin.
Rankin transferred on loan to the Tigers together using Wardle returning Huddersfield within their bargain, in the start of the 2019 Super League year, and both players will stay with their clubs for 2020.
Tigers coach Daryl Powell is delighted to secure the help of Rankin, a 27-year-old Australian who also scored 18 goals and 11 attempts .
“Jordan was outstanding for us this year and we are delighted to have him moving forward,” Powell explained.
“He has been a quality player for us, particularly when he transferred to full-back, therefore I am absolutely delighted he’ll be with us next year and I am confident he’ll reach additional heights as a participant in the Tigers.”
Rankin stated:”I can not tell you the last time I have been happy playing for a group like I am playing Cas.”
Wardle, 28, who played for the Giants from 2011 to 2016 and younger brother Jake in his return, tied and, after an injury-hit year, is excited about renewing the household partnership season.
“I am delighted to be playing the Giants in 2020,” Wardle said.
“I’m excited to be back in a club with my brother and watch his development in addition to work hard for both sides ”
